The Morni Hills is a part of Benaras. The hills are known for its beautiful waters and are often visited by the city’s visitors. It is also known as “The Bay of Stars” due to the presence of several large starry nights, which is captured on photographic plates. According to some, it is the “the place to be at in the summer”.

The Marathi people have been staying here for ages. This is where the country’s first prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, stayed when he was in Morni Hills.

The beauty of the place has been captured in the local shops. There are lots of places for shopping in this hill town.

The local market is one of the most beautiful sightseeing points of Morni Hills. The stalls are situated along the roads and offer assorted handicrafts from local craftsmen. Along with that, there are bazaars selling clothes, accessories, handicrafts and other imported products.

The fish markets, vegetable markets and shopping malls in Morni Hills offer local handicrafts and designer goods at bargain prices. One can also go to the fish markets to try the fresh fish caught by fishermen of the nearby fishing communities.

Shopping here is not restricted to the markets and stalls. A number of traditional friendly hotels provide excellent accommodation facilities in addition to cooking schools and cultural programs. The local school located at The Farm, is well-known for its coaching classes in English and Maths.
